Hours and Days of Operation:
Open Wednesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Closed Monday and Tuesday

Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Admission Prices:
$7 for adults. Free for children 16 years and younger, Diné, Ndé, Foster Families, and Museum of New Mexico Foundation Members. NM residents with ID admitted free the first Sunday of every month.

Directions:
Fort Sumner, NM. 3 miles east of the village of Fort Sumner on Hwy 60/84, south 3.5 miles on Billy the Kid Road

Visiting Etiquette:
Enjoy your visit. Take nothing but memories. Leave nothing but footprints.

Pet Policy:
Service animals are welcome inside the memorial.  Pets can enjoy the outside interpretive trail and river walk, just please clean up after your pets/service animals and dispose of messes in the posted receptacles.

Museum Shop, conference room, picnic area adjacent to river, Old Fort Site Trail, and 3/4 mile River Walk Trail

Nearby Attractions:
As you exit the Historic Site and immediately next door on Billy the Kid Road, stop by the gravesite where the infamous outlaw was buried. Also in Ft. Sumner Village is the Billy the Kid Museum, along with restaurants and antique stores near the intersection of 60/84 heading north towards Santa Rosa.

From Ft. Sumner Village take 84 west to Vaughn on 54 south to Carrizozo and follow signs east to Lincoln Historic Site.
