ASL INTERPRETATION
ASL interpretation is not presently available at Fort Stanton Historic Site.
PARKING AND ENTRANCE
Designated accessible parking spaces are available in the visitor lot at Fort Stanton Historic Site.
- There are two designated ADA accessible parking spaces in front of the Visitor Center.
The accessible route of access from the parking area to the entrance is a paved ADA accessible path from the ADA spaces into the Visitor Center.
SERVICE ANIMALS
Dogs and other animals which qualify as Service Animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act are welcome at the Fort Stanton Historic Site and are exempt from fees.
Under the New Mexico Service Animal Act of 2013, Emotional Support Animals and pets are not considered service animals.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
There is one wheelchair available at Fort Stanton Historic Site on a first come, first served basis.
The Visitor Center and all other buildings currently open to the public are ADA accessible. The only exception is Building #13.
The paths between the historic buildings are paved.
Motorized scooters are permitted onsite.
All restrooms are ADA accessible.
ACCESSIBLE PROGRAMS
Programs presented in the Visitor Center and on the Parade Ground are accessible to wheelchairs.

The Fort Stanton Historic Site is working to implement digital accessibility standards for the usability of its website by all people with disabilities. These efforts are ongoing.
