Book Buddies Library Lab Storytime
At Fort Selden Historic Site
5/28/25, Wednesday
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Thomas Branigan Memorial Library
Join Fort Selden Historic Site in a partnership with Las Cruces Public Libraries for a new series highlighting children’s books of the Southwest for school aged children kindergarten through fifth grade. A ranger from Fort Selden will be at the Thomas Branigan library branch to read Stellaluna, by Janell Cannon, which tells the story of a young fruit bat who comes to learn that despite our many differences we can all be friends. After the story participants can draw their favorite scene from the book, comparing and contrasting bats and birds.
This program is FREE and open to the public and takes place in the craft room of the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., Las Cruces, NM, 88001. Call 575-202-1638 for more information.
