Campfire Kitchen at Fort Selden
At Fort Selden Historic Site
6/19/24, Wednesday
10:00am - 11:00am
Take part in an outdoor demonstration using some of the same recipes and cooking traditions the Buffalo Soldiers who were stationed at Fort Selden used in the 1800s. Note: Any active flames or cooking over a live fire is dependent on state and local fire restrictions as well as expected weather conditions and current wind speeds. Based on tour size and needs, an accessibility vehicle may be utilized for this tour. Demonstration and ranger interaction are included as part of general admission of $5/adult. Free for children 16 years and younger. NM residents over the age of 60 are free on Wednesdays. Join us for Wednesday Walk with a Ranger at 9 a.m. if you’d like to learn more about the Fort Selden ruins. Please call 575-526-8911 for more information.
