Remedios at Los Luceros: Identifying Plants and Local Herbs
At Los Luceros Historic Site

Presented by Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area (NRGNH), and held at Los Luceros Historic Site, this workshop introduces identification, understanding, and appreciation of local herbs. Participants will learn to identify the relevant parts of the plants, understand the medicinal properties the herbs have, and make remedios, or remedies, with the abundance of locally foraged healing herbs. Students will prepare salves, poultices, and tinctures. Information, materials, and local herbs to be provided. The class is $50 per person and limited to 15 participants.
