Book Buddies Library Lab Storytime
At Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site
6/25/25, Wednesday
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Join Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site in a partnership with Las Cruces Public Libraries for a new series highlighting children’s books of the Southwest. A ranger from Taylor-Mesilla will be at the Branigan Library to read a children’s book about the region followed by a hands-on activity inspired by the book.
Ranger Sage will be reading Alejandro’s Gift, by Richard E Albert. Alejandro’s Gift tells the story of a lonely man that sees a need for water in the desert. While building a garden and watering hole, Alejandro realizes he’s not as lonely as he thought. After reading the story, kids will plant seedlings in pots to take home their own plant!
This program is FREE and open to the public and takes place in the craft room of the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., Las Cruces, NM, 88001. Call 575-202-1638 for more information.
