Gardens at Gisewa: Cooking, Eating, and Growing Together
At Jemez Historic Site
4/27/25, Sunday
11:00am - 2:00pm
Jemez Historic Site welcomes visitors of all ages to join us for the second gardening program in the Spring/Summer series. Site staff will spend this time together sharing stories and strategies focused on water and irrigation techniques. A drip system will be demonstrated in the raised bed garden box along the trail. Staff and participants will transplant chile and tomato seedlings. Be sure to bring water and wear comfortable clothes, a hat, and shoes that you can get dirty. A light lunch and snacks will be available.
Contact Casey Coty, Interpretive Ranger, casey.coty@dca.nm.gov, for more information. This program is included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 years and younger, people with Native/Tribal affiliations, disabled veterans, and foster families.
