Gardens at Gisewa: Cooking, Eating, and Growing Together
At Jemez Historic Site
4/27/25, Sunday
11:00am - 3:00pm
Join Jemez Historic Site for a new series of gardening and cooking agricultural demonstrations. The ancient village of Gisewa, much like other villages in many ways, could have among other things been a place to gather and share what was brought from surrounding villages and areas. Come out to share ways of growing crops, learn how to cook with those ingredients, and spend time together sharing food. All ages welcome.
Contact Casey Coty, Interpretive Ranger, casey.coty@dca.nm.gov, for more information. This program is included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 years and younger, NM residents 60 years and older with ID, people with Native/Tribal affiliations, disabled veterans, and foster families.
