Architectural Styles in Territorial New Mexico
At Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site
1/30/25, Thursday
10:00am - 11:00am
Join Ranger Daniel at Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site for an exploration of architectural styles in Territorial New Mexico. Learn about historic homes, businesses, and churches in the Mesilla Valley and how they influenced the “Territorial Style” found in the region. Through hands-on demonstrations and a brief tour of the Mesilla Plaza, participants will see how Indigenous customs, Spanish laws, and American building materials shaped the local landscape. This ranger program is FREE and open to the public.
Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site is located at 2350 Calle Principal on the Old Mesilla Plaza. Call 575-202-1638 for more information.
