At Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site

In conjunction with the Calavera Coalition’s Día De Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, community celebration, Taylor-Mesilla will present a small exhibit in the Reynolds Visitor Center called “Spirit Crossing,” that focuses on the traditions of this holiday. An altar featuring ofrendas, or offerings, will be on display explaining the symbolism and meaning of what visitors might see in the community altars set up around the Mesilla Plaza. Visitors are invited to make a related craft, including painting calaveras, or skulls, (while supplies last) and creating felt calaveras. Entry into the visitor’s center and activities are free.
