En plein air painting class at Los Luceros
At Los Luceros Historic Site
10/19/24, Saturday through 10/20/24, Sunday
10:00am - 4:00pm
Join Peggy Immel for an en plein air painting workshop at Los Luceros Historic Site where, throughout the property, autumn’s brilliant colors should be at their peak. Unlimited subjects can be found on this glorious 148-acre historic ranch with its extensive apple orchards and spectacular cottonwood stands along the Rio Grande River.
Peggy will begin each day with a demonstration and discussion of her painting technique. The rest of the day participants can create their own paintings. Peggy will provide personal instruction and guidance while people paint. Although daily demonstrations will be in oil, other media are welcome. No prior en plein air painting experience is necessary, but participants need to have their own portable plein air painting kit and some experience with their chosen painting medium.
Peggy Immel is an award-winning artist a Master Signature member of Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, a Signature Member of Plein Air Artists Colorado, and a Signature Member of American Women Artists. Her work is represented by Wilder Nightingale Fine Art in Taos, NM and Sorrel Sky Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, and Durango, CO. Learn more about her work at https://www.peggyimmel.com/.
Individual day price: $150.00 Saturday or Sunday. Both days, Saturday and Sunday: $275.00. Registration on Eventbrite.com. A supply list will be included with registration. 30% of all proceeds will be donated to The Museum of New Mexico Foundation, specifically to support Los Luceros Historic Site exhibitions and educational programming.
