26th Annual Frontier Day Celebration

At Fort Selden Historic Site

Take a trip back in time and honor the civilians and soldiers who lived at the fort and protected local residents.

Living History events continue throughout the day for the whole family, including:

  • Vintage Hats of the 1800s by Sherri Gaines;
  • Modern Medicine – 1873 by Dr. Bob Mallin;
  • Music by The White Sands Pipers, Connected, and Singing Cowboy;
  • Cultures Around Fort Selden by Lieutenant John Ryan;
  • Presentations by the Railroad Museum of El Paso & Harvey Girls;
  • Gunfights by Old West Thunder – Blacksmith Demonstrations and Sales;
  • Cake Walks;
  • 1800s Baseball Game;
  • Bean Bag Toss;
  • Cabin Sweep Game;
  • History Hunt;
  • Tea Party at the Ladies Canopy;
